Bangladesh University started its journey in 2001 but University Grant Commission (UGC) approved the curriculum of the Bachelor of Science (Honours) in Mathematics in 2005. The department of Mathematics offers a 4 year B.Sc. program in Mathematics. The Mathematics curriculum highlights logical inference, with a focus on proving theorems and a view toward depth and obstruction. This course exposes the depth and beauty of Mathematics as well as its applications to problems. This will also equip students with a solid and strong base in Mathematics.
