Experience

I have worked closely with childhood survivors of domestic abuse, sexual abuse and violence. I also have experience working in various research projects under organisations such as UNODC, UNICEF, UNDP, WHO as a researcher intern.

Event Organizer:
1. October 2018 – December 2018,Counter Terrorism & Transnational Crime, Dhaka Metropolitan Police, Minto Road, Dhaka
2. Developed root-level structural design for a year-long project titled
“Youth: Beholder of the Power to Prevent Extremism” under the Counter Terrorism & Transnational Crime of Dhaka Metropolitan Police
3. Educated the youth of Bangladesh on the methods to protect themselves from extremism, brainwashing and manipulation to mitigate terrorism
4. Organized multiple events and created networks with the Vice Chancellors and numerous Board Members of various Govt. and Private Universities, in order to disseminate knowledge and raise awareness
5. Communicated with various members of the Law Enforcement Agency to create a coordinative network for students, resulting in future recruitment in similar projects
6. Presented the project's goals and ideas to bridge the gap between the general population and the police, to foster a collaborative relationship
7. Organized the event of International Conference on "Rohingya: Politics, Ethnic Cleansing and Uncertainty" in September 2018

Volunteer Tutor:
1. May 2016 – February 2022, Department of Criminology, University of Dhaka
2. Tutored classmates regularly on complex and diverse topics including: Sociology, Criminology, Law and the History of Bangladesh
3. Applied autogenic methods to simplify complex topics to facilitate faster learning, thus helping students to manage time efficiently
4. Used practical examples to assist in retaining subject materials, resulting in learners’ exceptional academic performance
5. Achieved unanimous endorsement from learners, which resulted in a substantial increase in the formation of student groups seeking tutoring during exam periods
6. Created digital content to educate and raise awareness about various social issues among the young population

Research

Research Work

Research Intern:
1. October 2021 – January 2022, Development Research Initiative (dRi), Mirpur, Dhaka

2. Worked closely in several research projects carried out under the World Bank, World Health Organization (WHO), United Nations Children's Fund (UNICEF), Save the Children, and United Nations Office on Drugs and Crime (UNODC), which aided in numerous policy developments

3. Observed and analyzed underlying factors behind significant national concerns, such as child malnutrition, the ongoing Rohingya crisis, and Domestic violence, to provide the policymakers with the knowledge base to effectively allocate financial aid to ongoing outreach programs

4. Conducted primary interviews, reviewed literature, and developed questionnaires to aid in the research projects

5. Crafted timely research reports to provide the policymakers with an overview of the root causes of the national concerns, to assist them in designing effective policies to mitigate these issues
