The Department of Sociology, Bangladesh University successfully organized an inspiring seminar titled “Sociology as a Career Path: Opportunities, Skills and Impacts” on 22 December 2025 at Hall Room 01, Bangladesh University.

The seminar featured an enlightening keynote speech by Dr. Khurshed Alam, Chairman of the Bangladesh Institute of Social Research (BISR) Trust, who highlighted the growing relevance of sociology in research, policy-making, development work, and social transformation.
