We are delighted to announce that the Department of Architecture, Bangladesh University has officially received its Accreditation Certificate from the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB) on 12 December 2025, during Bangladesh ArchSummit 2025, held at the Bangladesh-China Friendship Convention Center.

The accreditation certificate was graciously received by the Advisor of the Department, Architect Iqbal Habib, and the Head of the Department, Architect Sheikh Itmam Soud, from the hands of the Chairman of RAJUK, Engr. Md. Rezaul Islam, and the President of IAB, Architect Dr. Abu Sayeed Mostaque Ahmed.

The prestigious ceremony was graced by the Chairman of RAJUK as the Special Guest and was chaired by the President of the Institute of Architects Bangladesh (IAB). The event was further honored by the presence of Vice Chancellors, Pro-Vice Chancellors, and Heads of Departments from other accredited universities.

This accreditation marks a significant milestone in the Department’s journey toward academic excellence, reaffirming its commitment to quality architectural education, professional standards, and the development of future-ready graduates.
