The students and teachers of the Department of Pharmacy, Bangladesh University had a truly enriching and inspiring visit to the Bangladesh National Herbarium on 11th November, 2025.

This educational tour offered a wonderful opportunity to explore Bangladesh’s vast diversity of medicinal plants and understand their immense value in traditional and modern medicine. From identifying local herbs to learning about their scientific documentation and conservation, the experience deepened our appreciation for the natural treasures that support pharmaceutical studies and future research in drug discovery, herbal medicine, and sustainable health solutions.

A heartfelt thanks to the authorities specially to Dr. Sarder Nasir Uddin, PSO, Dr. Mahbuba Sultana, SSO, Dr. Md. Sayedur Rahman, SSO, Khandakar Kamrul Islam, SSO & Assistant Director, Tasmim Riza, Assistant Programmer & also to other officials and staffs of Bangladesh National Herbarium for their warm hospitality and valuable guidance throughout the visit.

Professor Abul Kalam Azad, Head, Professor Dr. S. M. Abdur Rahman, Advisor, Fahmida Binta Anower, Coordinator, Dr. Sm. Faysal Bellah, Associate Professor & in addition Associate Director of Research Center of Bangladesh University, Fatema Akhter & Afroza Akter, Lecturers of the Department of Pharmacy were also the members of this educational tour.
